Columbia River Health is committed to compassionate, respectful, and high-quality care in a safe and welcoming environment.

Our commitment

We understand that healthcare situations can be stressful and are committed to listening to concerns and addressing them respectfully. However, abusive, threatening, or disruptive behavior toward staff, providers, patients, or visitors will not be tolerated. To ensure a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff, we ask everyone to treat one another with courtesy and respect.

Expected behavior

Treat staff, providers, patients, and visitors respectfully. Communicate concerns in a courteous manner. Follow health center policies and safety instructions. Respect the privacy and rights of others.

Unacceptable behavior

Verbal abuse, yelling, insults, profanity, or intimidating behavior. Harassment, discrimination, or offensive remarks. Threats, violence, or aggressive conduct. Sexual harassment or inappropriate comments or actions. Behavior that disrupts care or compromises the safety of others.

Consequences

Unacceptable behavior may result in a verbal or written warning, removal from the premises, involvement of security or law enforcement, and/or termination of the patient-provider relationship in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
